  Jeff LaBorg is the Senior Pastor of one the leading  churches in the Southern Baptist Convention, Second Baptist Church Warner Robins, Georgia. 

In July of 2007 a unanomouis call was extended to Dr. Jeff LaBorg to become the second pastor in the past 50 years at Second Baptist Church.  

For 48 years Pastor  I.F. "Rastus" Salter faithfully led the church to experience tremendous spiritual and numerical growth with an unwaivering committment to preaching the Word of God.  Brother Rastus, known affectionately as 'Preacher' by those he faithfully led for 48 years, went home to be with the Lord in January 2005. 

Pastor Jeff considers it among the highest of honors in his ministry to take the helm of SBCWR and continue the commitment to conservative Bible preaching and evangelism.  A mutual passsion for the authority and sufficiency of Scripture has already created a tremendous bond between Pastor Jeff and the saints of Second Baptist.  If you are in the area or traveling on I-75 and need a place to worship as Pastor Jeff says, "Just look for the Glory Cloud and that's were you will find Second Baptist Church."

Biographical Info

Pastor Jeff married Kristi Littlefield in June of 1991. She is a native of Kentucky and a trained Bible teacher for Precept Ministries. They have two children, Bethanee Lee, and Bradlee Thomas.

In addition to holding two support staff positions, Dr. La Borg has led three Southern Baptist Churches to record growth in Worship, Sunday school and evangelism.

He served as the senior pastor of Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee from October of 1993 until May of 2005.  Under his leadership, Sharon Baptist Church experienced quadruple growth in attendance, multiple building programs, numerous land acquisitions, and led the Shiloh Baptist Association in baptisms five consecutive years. Among his most treasured accomplishments as pastor of Sharon Baptist was the launching of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry and the founding of the K.I.D.S Preschool and Savannah Christian Academy.

In May of 2005 he was called as Senior Pastor of College Heights Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee. Under his leadership College Heights Baptist Church experienced a powerful move of God that resulted in attendance growing from 400 to over 1000. CHBC was ranked 6th of 3,000 Tennessee Baptist Churches and in the top 100 of 40,000 Southern Baptist Churches in the nation for evangelism and baptisms. As a result of the record setting growth, Pastor Jeff led CHBC to purchase 65 acres strategically located for future relocation.  

In July of 2007 he was called to be the Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church.

Pastor Jeff has been blessed to preach in numerous State Evangelism Conferences, Church Growth Conferences and has preached revivals and conferences across the United States, and the nations of Malawi Africa, Ghana Africa, Israel and Costa Rica.

Dr. La Borg graduated from Liberty University with honors and the Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters Degree in Leadership. He has done post-graduate studies at Southern Seminary and is currently working on a Ph.d in Advanced Prophetics. He is also the recipient of a Doctorate of Divinity from Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary in Atlanta Georgia.
